The story

A bearded father, a young crowned son and a winged guide stand together on a road outside a town, hands joined. The verse reads: father and son have joined hands with the guide, and it is to be understood as body, spirit and soul. This is the eleventh figure of the Book of Lambspring, engraved by Matthäus Merian and printed in the Musaeum Hermeticum, Frankfurt, 1678. From here the poem follows these three to its end.
